The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce has appointed Camelia Peguero as the new Managing Director.

Peguero began her role in September 2024, immediately jumping in to host the popular Fall Festival/Lumberjack and Chainsaw Carving Competition. Looking ahead, she plans to increase exposure for local businesses and improve the chamber’s marketing efforts.

“I hope that people see the chamber as an avenue of support, guidance, and networking for businesses,” she said. “Even if I don’t know the answer, I can connect them with someone who does.”

She is also passionate about working with children. She hopes to educate the next generation of local business leaders and promote volunteerism among the local youth.

Peguero studied organizational management and graphic design and illustration. She has extensive experience in real estate, property management, and charity fundraising. She has also assisted many start-up businesses.
